Lit by thousands of decorative Chinese lanterns, our new Central Business District will be alive with a music performances, art exhibitions, traditional crafts, food stalls and fireworks to mark Chinese New Year and c ‘The Lunar Year of the Horse.
Visitors and residents will experience a weekend (Jan 30 – Feb 1) of authentic Chinese culture through waterfront promenade activities - including a Chinese calligraphy workshop, kite painting lessons, a horse whisperer photo exhibition, and portrait painters.
Decorated in red and gold, The Galleria - our latest luxury shopping and dining destination - will host traditional Chinese music performances in its Great Room.
On January 31 - Chinese New Year Day - Al Maryah Island’s promenade will feature a spectacular dragon show and a mega fireworks display set to Chinese music.
Guests to the island’s ultra-luxurious Rosewood Abu Dhabi will find in their room a traditional red envelope and chocolates wrapped in gold foil, believed to bestow luck, health and prosperity while the hotel’s Aqua restaurant will serve up renowned Chinese delicacies, and Glo, its glamorous open-air lounge, will host a chic Chinese New Year’s eve party on January 30th and 31st.
