Multi-award winning actor, Richard Gere, leads a star-studded line up for this year’s Abu Dhabi Film Festival, running October 11-20.
Gere teams up with his ‘Arbitrage’ cast and crew, including co-star Nate Parker and director Nicholas Jarecki and Saudi producer Mohammed Al Turki for the Festival at the opulent Emirates Palace hotel.
‘Arbitrage’ is a taut thriller about hedge fund manipulation.
This year the Festival includes a special programme of Algerian films celebrating the 50th anniversary of the North African country’s independence. These films will be screened alongside high profile competitions for Narrative Feature, Documentary Feature and New Horizons. Films screened in the Showcase section, a panoramic selection of the best in new world cinema, will compete for the Audience Choice Award.
