Visit Al Gharbia to see world’s only camel beauty contest

Celebrating the importance of the ‘ship of the desert’ in Emirati society, this year’s event - now in its sixth edition - sees an increase in the total value of prizes contested, with more than AED 46 million (US$ 12.5 million) to be won.

The number of rounds in the Mazayna (camel beauty) contest – the only one of its kind in the world - has been increased to 70, compared to 56 in the previous edition and 42 in 2010.
